Firstly,  I am sharing the link to my recipe books which are all available through Amazon and are packed full of recipes which I haven’t shared on my blog or any other recipe sites. I have added the images of my books and if you click on the images you will be directed to the Amazon link for that book. Also, from the 19th January 2018 my newest book “A Year of Baking For Family and Friends” will be on promotion for one week. Go grab it while you can.

A Selection of my Books

I am adding my recipes to various recipe sites to help in spreading my recipes far and wide. Some of these recipe sites require the recipe to be written in steps with the photos attached and some don’t so if you feel like looking at the recipes in more depth then I have added the links to my pages on these sites. I will add where the recipes on my blog recipe page can be found at the bottom of each recipe

Some of these sites I have links to from my blog but I haven’t added them all as I am still trying to get to grips with seeing any results from adding the recipes to these sites on my google analytics site.  As you can see though I am trying to spread the word world wide about my blog and the recipes I like to use, create and develop.

Today, I have managed to get in the kitchen and BAKE. My house smells lovely right now and it is so warm in here even though outside in cold and wet. It may even snow later. Lets forget about the weather and get back to the baking. I have made Marzipan and Sweet Mincemeat Muffins, Choc Chip Oaty  Cookies and Vegetable Broth.

For the Marzipan and Sweet Mincemeat Muffins, I recorded a video of myself making them – I weighed out the ingredients, took lots of photos and adjusted the lighting in my kitchen to remove the risk of shadows (I hope). Not much sunlight today so I hope the video is okay. The muffins look delicious and when you cut them in half there is the perfect sized piece of marzipan in the centre. This is complimented by the crumble topping which has marzipan added to it and gives a yummy crunch to the muffin. My husband will love these and as I bake these muffins without a cases there is no waste. As the children don’t like marzipan or sweet mincemeat I thought I should bake something for the children (it is a horrible day outside and they deserve a treat).

For the Choc Chip Oaty Cookies, I decided not to make the standard digestive biscuits recipe which I have done in the past where the chocolate is added after the cookies are baked to make them resemble chocolate digestives. Instead, I added some chocolate chips to the recipe and made the cookies into digestive style cookies. This recipe is similar to the oat cookies I have made before except no milk is used in the recipe. Not using milk in the recipe has made them more crisp which is delicious and quite melt in the mouth really when I think about it rather like a melting moment texture. This recipe is egg free, milk free but it does contain butter but you could make it dairy free by changing the butter to a dairy free variety. There is not much sugar used in the recipe and you could make it gluten free by using gluten free flour in the recipe.

This recipe will be shared on Pinterest, Yummly, I am a Baker, Tastespotting, MyTaste and Bloglovin’. As I didn’t take any photos of the various stages of making these cookies I will not be adding it to those recipe sites which like to show the different stages in a recipe.

I think this will be a new product for my webshop and I will offer it as gluten free and standard but I will need to work out the costings for these cookies first.  I will have bake these cookies using the gluten free flour just to make sure they work well but I am sure they will.

Watch out for the video and recipe for the Marzipan and Sweet Mincemeat Muffins which I will be adding to Youtube soon. For the rest of today, as well as, editing the video I am going to be sorting through my photos as I have far too many of them on my computer. I am making a family file and recipe file to try and make myself a bit more organised.
