Well the Halloween Bakes have stopped now and the Christmas Bakes order book is now open for your perusal. You can visit the Christmas Bakes on the webshop from here 🙂 I had a few Halloween Bakes to make for the Halloween weekend which prevented me from baking my own birthday cake but I don’t mind really as the one my children decorated for me went down a treat. I bought a chocolate traybake from Asda and then my children used up some of the Halloween sweets to decorate the traybake a whole lot more. There were chocolate bones, gummy brains and eyeballs and a lot of other treats too. 🙂
My Christmas Bakes this year include Christmas Cakes, Sweet Mince Pies, Yule Logs, Chocolate Baubles and Christmas Eve Treat Boxes to name but a few. The Treat Boxes always go down a storm so I wonder what this year will bring 🙂
This last couple of weeks I have had a completely free from baking to crack on with the many jobs which seem to always be there. I have prepared rooms for new flooring which involved glossing the skirting boards whilst the rooms were carpet free and then we had to empty the rooms ready for last weekend so the flooring could be fitted by my husband and myself. We did it though with the help of my sister and mother 🙂 It has been a full week now and it still looks as immaculate as the day we put it down.
On the baking front, I am busy looking at the Christmas Bakes and deciding if I want to change anything which I have available on the webshop or do I just leave it all alone or even add something new to the choices available to order from the webshop. There are so many bakes out there which I really want to try and maybe add to my repertoire but I have to make the time to get creative in the kitchen in stead of finding excuses and do other things.
This week I will be making a start on the Christmas chocolate treats as they keep well and it will save me a job in the Christmas week. Also, I may have to catch up with my good friend who is a rather good with website design as I feel like I am having a few problems with Jetpack and Google Analytics and I don’t know why? Maybe I will ask my husband to have a look tomorrow if we have an easy day at home?
I have added the postage prices for Tracked 24 for different sized parcels to the webshop as choices for you to use when ordering from myself as with the ongoing postal strikes the best method to use that guarantees delivery to within two days is the Tracked 24 option. I hope this helps when you are trying to decide when ordering from the webshop and I hope I have the prices right too 🙂 I am still looking for a plugin which will do all the postage from Royal Mail instead of only offering some of them. I don’t want to try Evri or DPD but I am still looking at what is available and what other home bakers are using on their webshops. So much research to be done but it is Saturday night so I am taking the rest of the night off to spend some time with my family 🙂
