It has been a long school term and an even longer last week of term but the half term holiday is here at last and I have never been so in need of a break. We have been so busy with starting university, getting back to school and getting into the swing of working that I feel like I need to slow down but the amount of work I have to do this week is going to make this week fly by. I’m not complaining though as I need the work but I am going to make the most of the weekend when my husband isn’t at work and spend some quality time with my family. 🙂

My Halloween prep for the Halloween Treat Boxes is done – the Chocolate Bites are the only product I can make ahead of time. Other than that everything else – the Marshmallow Pops, Cupcakes and Cookies are baked ready for collection on the 29th/30th of October just in time for “Halloween”. 🙂

I have a couple of Giant Cookies to bake this week and a batch of Fudge – both with a “Halloween” theme so I am going to be busy. The rest of my week is going to be filled with admin work, looking after children and the house and making the most of this lovely weather. I think a walk is on the cards today to help blow the cobwebs away and get the children off their technology for a while.

Of course at the end of the week there is a Birthday Cake to be made and I have an idea in mind of what I want to do with this cake so I will share the end results next week 🙂 This Birthday Cake is for myself and will have a “Halloween” theme which I am really looking forward to making this year. I wonder if it will scare my son again like last year’s cake, so much so, that he wouldn’t even try a piece of last year’s cake. 🙁

As from Monday 24th October my “Halloween” order book will be closed and then it will be all hands on deck the day after “Halloween” as I start to prepare for “Christmas” 2022. If you would like to order anything for collection or postal delivery (in between the postal strikes) the products available are visible on the webshop for your perusal. 🙂
