These are a great idea which can be made in advance for any celebration. The only part which needs to be baked is the brownies but you could cheat and buy them. However, that defeats the object and homemade brownies are so much better than shop bought. My recipe for brownies is so easy to follow and always works. I used strawberries and marshmallows with my brownies when I made these party skewers but you can use any fruit which will keep its shape on a skewer, for example, pear or grapes. You could use more fruit and omit the marshmallows or make any combination you want. Fudge pieces would be something else to try and add to the skewers as well as drizzling different chocolate, for example, white chocolate instead of milk chocolate like I have used. Better still you could dip the strawberries or marshmallows in the chocolate and some sprinkles before adding them to the skewer. Now the ideas are flowing so there is so much you could try when making these party skewers. Also, you could use cake of some description instead of chocolate brownies if you don’t like brownies – but who doesn’t like brownies??
