What a week it has been so far and I still have 3 days to go before I can shut the computer down for a break. I have had Etsy orders to post, Etsy enquiries to answer and impromptu collections from my door (which I don’t mind at all). I have a great week to date with lots of fun baking ideas being fulfilled, lots of photos taken and lots of tasting of the treats which I have baked. All in all, the kind of week I have been wanting for a while. Selling the homebaked goods online from home is definitely the kind of job I have been seeking as it fits in with my family life and allows me to be as creative as I want without leaving home to do it.

My traybakes on Etsy are proving popular so I need to keep the momentum going and push the webshop too. Saying that, my webshop is going really well with regards collections from my door to local customers and having the trials of recipes where I can offer what I have baked on my Facebook page to customers who are local to myself is proving to be very worthwhile. As proved yesterday, after baking Cupcakes, 16 in total, I decided to offer them for sale on Facebook just by chance and I managed to sell half of them immediately (here was I thinking my family would have to eat them all – not that they would have minded!! ). I will definitely be trying this idea again – next time a make a trial but I have to say that the cupcakes did look appetising and I hope my customer was happy with them as much as I was. 🙂

From the Foodie Calendar, I have made some Oatmeal Cookies, of a fashion, and I will share this recipe tomorrow – bit late for “National Oatmeal Cookie Day” but better late than never I say. These cookies are very healthy and have gone down a storm with my older children and husband. In fact, my eldest daughter has been having them for breakfast as she says the cookies are a great breakfast option and I agree with her totally.

Today, is “National Water Day”, so I would suggest just to drink more water as it a very important part of our diet and except for baking Water Biscuits I can’t think of any other recipe to try. Maybe I will look up a recipe and take it from there as I know my eldest child would love some homebaked crackers of some description to munch on – MMmmm Water Biscuits with Wensleydale Cheese!!

The beginning of next week sees two of my favourite days “International Waffle Day” on the 25th March and “National Black Forest Cake Day” on the 28th March. I have some cool ideas for those days to try out with hopefully some treats to offer for collection on Facebook. keep checking my Facebook page to see what I am up to and when and you must go and like the page and then like and share my “Easter Giveaway” before the 26th March to be in with a chance of winning the Easter Brownies traybake which will be delivered to your door just in time for Easter.

In the meantime, don’t forget about my recipe books which are still available through Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk for a few days more. Go and grab a bargain whilst you can as some of my readers have already done. I hope you get as much enjoyment out of my recipe books as I have had writing them and I can’t wait to publish my children’s recipe book for you to use too. If you do buy a book it would be great if you could leave me a review on Amazon. Thankyou again for following me on my baking journey and I hope that I inspire you somewhere along the line. 🙂
