Yesterday was rather a slow day for me, but the weather didn’t help either. A sort of “fed up with everything day” which I am sure everyone suffers from now and then. My husband put my mood down to the fact that all the children are back at school now and so I am alone being left to my own devices. Myself, I think I was just having an off day as I feel like the last two weeks has been mental what with school preparations, setting up a webshop, writing my next recipe book and so on.
Right now I am concentrating on my recipe book and writing every spare minute I have to try and finish it. I am really trying to publish my Halloween recipe book by next week so it is all hands on deck now. I still have baking to do so it looks like I may have a late night this weekend.
Talking of books, my first book “[amazon_textlink asin=’B06XHLSMD7′ text=’Baking at its best: Advice for home bakers and would be entrepreneurs’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’wwwlovetobake-21′ marketplace=’UK’ link_id=’25275cb1-9484-11e7-8e96-b91d51284a3c’]” is on offer from the 9th September 2017 through Amazon. The e-book will be available for 99p for one week only and it is always available for free through the Kindle Lending Library.
Yesterday, just felt like a catching up day with jobs which hadn’t been done in the last week or so. However, today is going to be used to bake some creations which I need to photograph for my webshop and my up and coming recipe book. Also, I may make some White Chocolate Scones as I seem to keep thinking about them whenever am busy doing something else. I need to get them out of my system and be done with.
My new ideas are in the oven and I can’t wait to get some photos of them for my webshop. I am so excited about them and I couldn’t help myself but tell the children this morning when I told them what I was going to bake today. Some treats for the busy weekend ahead.
Tomorrow, I need to make my daughter a Smash Cake for her birthday on Sunday. I have bought some of her favourite sweets to fill the cake with and as we are having a cinema day on Sunday the cake will be the centrepiece and a lovely surprise for her. She is not having a party till later in the month as she has started at a new school and we want her to have some new friends and old friends to invite to her party. For her party with her friends she wants some Icecream Sundae Cupcakes just like her sister had for her party.
Next week on the “Foodie Calendar”, there a lot of celebrations ranging from “National Hotdog Day” to “National Cupcake Day”. Plenty to choose from so I will just have to see what I come up with to celebrate those days.
For the rest of today, I need to see which photos I have ready for my new recipe book and what I need to bake in the next few days in order to have some photos to match my recipes. I wonder if my daughter would like a Halloween themed party this weekend. Hehehe. I will share some photos and a recipe for the scones later.
