Being self employed means that you are always working so even when I have been busy re-decorating I have been planning in my head what to do next in the blog. However, it is the orders which I receive which really decide what I am going to be doing and when.
Take this morning, for instance, after checking my emails I had received an order for Oreo Brownies which I have to post to the customer – a new customer actually. So I went straight to the kitchen to start baking the brownies as I realised that the customer may want the bake for the weekend and I wanted to catch today’s post rather than tomorrow and risk the bake being stuck in the post office somewhere til next Tuesday by which time the bake would be ruined. All plans in my head that are constantly running through it.
Bank Holiday Treat
Order done and ready to post so I thought I would jump on here and check a few ideas out which I want to post about over the Bank Holiday weekend (a little bit of extra planning before I head off for the rest of the day), Don’t worry though the jobs I am wanting to do will happen after I have spent the weekend days out with the family but I can’t say where we will end up as we tend to play it by ear 🙂 Quite spontaneous in my household except for the two teens who take forever to get themselves organised to go anywhere.
This afternoon, I am off to watch my son in his sports day and I will probably have half of my mind on him and the rest will be running through what I need to do tomorrow as it is Friday so it is “Friday Treat Box Day”.
Friday Treat Box
This week the Friday Treat Box is a lovely light, summery collection of treats. There will be Mini Blueberry Cheesecakes to celebrate “National Blueberry Cheesecake Day” and Strawberry Shortcake to celebrate “National Strawberries and Cream Day”. My Strawberry Shortcakes have always been popular so if you haven’t tired them before and you can collect then I recommend you try them for yourself. 🙂
After the decorating I have done over the last two days this afternoon will be a welcome break for the housework but I must say a lick of paint to spruce the house up and it makes you feel really good inside. My house and head feel very clear and uncluttered right now and I am ready for the children to have a week off school. So next week, for the half term holiday I have many jobs I want to do just to prepare for painting again. I won’t start decorating till after they go back to school. I am not going to paint when the children are all at home 🙂
That is all for now as I am off to the post office with this parcel. Love my job right now 🙂
