Oh my God, I feel like I have been too busy to write anything on my blog recently about what I am up to as I just seem to have been busy in the last few weeks and it is blogging which is paying the price. Not good at all, as the whole point of this food blogging is to share what I do, what I have learned and my plans for the future. All of this has been forgotten about as I have been so busy baking for online orders, as well as, orders for collection.

This week it is half term for my children whereas most schools have been off last week. As it is Monday, I thought I would make the time to sit and write about what I have been doing rather than what I am going to do as I have so many ideas to share. There is no point in trying to do many jobs in the house when you have a houseful of children is there?

A couple of weeks ago, I had an order to bake a Giant Choc Chip Cookie which the customer wanted personalised with a photo that she provided. I love making these Giant Cookies as I am allowed to design and decorate them how I want really. These cookies are suited to many occasions from Father’s Day to a birthday to a teacher’s present and a whole lot more.

For this order the customer provided the image so I just had to add a background that wouldn’t overpower the image. Once I had the icing sheet topper designed and ready for printing I needed to choose the sweets to adorn the top of the cookie. I love having the edible ink printer now but I would love to use it more so maybe 2019 is the year for me to push this side of the business as a part of my online business. 🙂

Well Monday is nearly over and I have hardly had time to write anything much about this order. As well as, the Giant Cookie for this customer I baked a tray of the Gingerbread & White Chocolate Traybake. I think the cuatomer liked this tray bake which I had baked previpously as part of the Friday Treat Box.

I seem to be concentrating on changing the layout and look of my blog which involves a lot of behind the scenes work and not a lot front of house work or so it would seem. However, I have never stopped believe me. My Christmas Cake orders are building up nicely which is a good thing as it will keep me out of mischief soon enough. Until then I can have some fun with the “Halloween” bakes which I have planned for tomorrow and Wednesday as I have a few orders in already for some Halloween Cupcakes.

I loved creating the “Brain Cupcake” which I included in the cupcake offer but it did make the other three cupcakes look very boring so tomorrow I am going to “up the ante”  as they say and create something strange and scary at the same time. I am really looking forward to going to bed tonight just for tomorrow to come.

As for the rest of today, I am going to start on the next few posts for my blog which will be about something new I want to try my hand at in the future, a post about a recipe I want to share and a post about the new conversion calculator which I have added to my blog courtesy of The Calculator Site.

As you can see I have so many things to catch up on that my desk is looking rather full – almost to the point of overflowing – which is not a good thing. 🙁 Looks like this week is a catching up on the paperwork on my desk kind of week but only after I have finished baking my orders.
