Today I thought I would tell you about the process of buying supplies, packaging, equipment  I use for some of my home baking projects and that I sourced whilst starting up my own business. The supplies, packaging, equipment are what keeps the business running efficiently as without these being in plentiful supply the home baking business could not function properly.

From Amazon,  the most vital piece of equipment that I use, is my stand alone mixer. Prior to this, I used hand mixers supplied by Tesco, which although they did a decent job were not powerful or versatile enough for the amount of baking I was doing. I still use these when I am making something that requires more accurate whisking, for example, egg whites when making meringue.

Also from Amazon, I  would buy the sweet mince pie foil tins  which I use for sweet mince tarts, all year round, not just for Christmas  and my childrens’ favourite jam tarts.

From Ebay, I bought my heat sealer kit . This machine changed my packaging completely for the better. It was so easy to use and maintain and relatively cheap.  A necessity for me to move my business forward from paper bags and sellotape.

My favourite thing to make which my children loved to eat , when they didn’t work was my cake pops. I bought the sticks, bags and ties from Ebay. The best part of making these is dipping them in molten chocolate.

I shall be putting links to these items, as well as the other suppliers, products and ingredients that I use on the Links page of my website at www.love-to-bake.uk.
