Andddd relaxxxx. It’s the weekend and have I ever been glad for a couple of days off to recharge my batteries before another week starts. Although next week is a Bank Holiday so the week doesn’t officially start until Tuesday. 🙂

My plans for tomorrow are to spend some time finishing off my paperwork from the last couple of days which I need to keep up to date with when I have orders from the webshop and Etsy shop. I have had quite a few orders this week – in fact I would say this has been my most successful week to date so I am hoping the excitement and interest which I have created in the webshop continues as it is the shop areas that I have spent a lot of time on this week – so the hard work has started to pay off. 🙂 I am definitely going to try to do some jobs in the garden too, if this weather holds.

I haven’t managed to get back to the sugarcraft yet but I am hoping that whilst the children are off school I might be able to sit down and create some more flowers. I am not planning on baking too much this week coming except the treats for next weekend which I have already planned. I am becoming so organised at present – long may it continue 🙂 My other trial with the sugar alternatives is to make carrot cake and vanilla cake with the different ingredients which I have bought to try out. I have baked with Stevia (a sweetener) before and the cakes do work but I found you had to use a large amount of the ingredient just to reach half the amount of standard sugar in a recipe. I prefer the method a friend told me about which she uses for her own diabetic daughter which is where she halves the sugar in the standard recipe and the resultant cake is still sweet and rises but has less caramelisation on the surface. Anyway I am going to delve into this further over the next few weeks and see what I can come up with. I managed to bake gluten and egg free treats which are still available in a local farm shop but I have been working on these products too so they are not available on my webshop or Etsy at present. I will be re-adding them when I am happier with the recipes.

Next week, my baking is based on the Foodie Calendar again which I am becoming obsessed with as I find I am preparing the dinner around the savoury days on the calendar as well as picking the sweet days that I want to include in my Friday treat. I have even picked a couple of days where I can bake and share the recipe too, this week, which is a good thing.
