It’s Sunday already, where has the weekend gone?? 🙁 I feel like I have hardly done anything and yet my list of jobs is becoming less so I must be doing something especially the jobs in the house which I am trying to do. This morning began with a much needed lie in, a light brunch and then driven by the fact that my son was playing the Nintendo Switch through the TV, I disappeared upstairs and painted the second stairwell which leads to my daughters’ bedroom. “Aching” is not the word to describe the pain in my shoulders and upper body as using an extendable roller takes some hard work I can tell you. However, it is done – for now and I am hoping to carry on from where I left off tomorrow after home schooling is done. I think dinner tonight may have to be an easy one for a change as we did have tacos last night with all the trimmings 🙂

Whilst painting, I have spent time thinking about the blog and what I plan on baking this week for collection so I will be sharing that idea in the morning. Maybe a savoury and sweet bake I think? Last week was a busy week as I had a few orders to bake for delivery to various customers in the UK. I hope the orders arrived safely and that these new customers enjoyed the treats. Empire Biscuits was the treat of the week so I wonder what orders I will receive this week??

My main plans for this week are to complete all the home decorating then I can put away all the decorating stuff and enjoy some time doing other less strenuous jobs. It will be a great feeling to know that the whole house has had a lick of paint and a thorough clean in the last few weeks so that all I have to do is keep up with are the standard housecleaning jobs.

My garden is starting to bloom and my house smells fresh and clean so much so that I don’t think I want to sell this house anymore. I love what we have done to house over the last few weeks and I am enjoying spending time in the house. Although our house is still on the market, I think it is not the time to be selling so I am going to make the most of our time in this house – as I love it even more now than ever. This lockdown has shown me several great things about the area I live in – new walks that I never knew were there, great cycle routes that are family friendly and a lovely, clean, peaceful area to live in. What more could you want??

In fact, the latest exercise that my son is loving is going for a daily cycle ride with myself and then another cycle ride with his father. As we only have one bike (which is mine) we have to share until we find or buy another one it means my son gets to ride double the distance that my husband and I get to ride which tires him out perfectly. The cycling is great as it gives my two youngest children a daily exercise to do that they both enjoy. My eldest two daughters have dance and karate lessons which they take part in through Zoom. I hear them practicing a lot in the bedroom and bathroom which is good and then at weekends we try to go for a walk as a family. Maybe we will go further afield next week once the painting is complete just to get a change of scenery.

As for the baking, I have no plans as such because when I made plans last week I had to change them to fit in the orders which I received so I am taking a different approach this week. No plans just go with the flow. 🙂
