Homemade Bourbon Biscuits
Homemade Bourbon Biscuits

Yesterday was spent looking at back links to other posts on my blog and where I need to add some more. Also, I have been checking to see what I baked and added to my other recipe page before I moved it to my blog. I spotted a Bourbon Biscuits recipe which I am going to try again as on the original post I had written about alternative ideas for this recipe so I am going to make a chocolate biscuit but sandwich them together with coffee buttercream or maybe a coffee biscuit for a change. This will be something for the husband to enjoy as the children don’t like coffee. I think to keep everyone happy I will do both chocolate and coffee  as these biscuits are quite easy to make and the only real messy bit is adding the buttercream but I will have plenty of help for that part.

This is my list of recipes which I need to re-add in order to add them to Yummly, Pinterest and so on:

In the meantime, the webshop is starting to bring in customers as I am now baking to order my traybakes and having them delivered through the post to customers. The Bakewell Slice is proving popular.  My husband is pleased as it is keeping me busy, making him happy but I think this is due to him having to taste test new ideas before I add them to my webshop.

On the book front, not only is my [amazon_textlink asin=’B06XHLSMD7′ text=’first book available for the next few days at 99p’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’wwwlovetobake-21′ marketplace=’UK’ link_id=’bbb92acf-96de-11e7-95e8-a19df80c6ead’] but my [amazon_textlink asin=’B071K2YJCN’ text=’Summer Picnics recipe book ‘ template=’ProductLink’ store=’wwwlovetobake-21′ marketplace=’UK’ link_id=’e54c7ae0-96de-11e7-9915-c5988b4b4595′]will be available to all for free from the 15th of September for a limited time. Remember I have written three recipe books to date and I am in the process of publishing my fourth book which is a collection of Halloween recipes that I love to make for the family.  All I ask is,  “if you download a book for free during the free promotion period , please would you leave a review on Amazon. Just a sentence or two would be great as nothing can beat word of mouth when you are an author wanting to succeed and a review is so important. A review would make all the difference and very much appreciated”.

I did make a quick Snickers Cheesecake yesterday but I didn’t have any time to take a photo before it was eaten. In the mad rush to keep the children, family and friends entertained I forgot to take a photo. Sorry but it means I need to make another one soon. Hehehe ant excuse to make a cheesecake and believe me this one was something else. n What with the layer of crushed peanut cookies as the base, the creamy filing with a swirl of dark chocolate running through it and a topping of Snickers and yet more swirly chocolate it was a delicious treat but definitely an adult treat  I will be baking the Coffee Cookies later today ( my husband is looking forward to them) and sharing the recipe tomorrow as I didn’t gave time to bake them yesterday due to my daughter’s birthday. For the rest of today I am going to try and make one last push on my Halloween recipe book so watch this space as it could be published soon.
